Riversway Festival

Friday 24th July - Sunday 26th July 2009.*

The Riversway Festival is a spectacular weekend of fun and entertainment for all the family and plans are already underway for a fabulous event in 2009.. 

The Ribble Link Cruise Event draws people from all over the country - indeed the world!  Our furthest visitors to date came all the way over from New Zealand (however there was a plane involved!).  - whether you're 2000 miles or 2 miles away, everyone is welcome!

Last years event  saw  the City Celebrating 60 Years of Twinning with Almelo in Holland and we looked forward to welcoming our Dutch friends for the festivities - which included displays, demonstrations, paint balling and climbing wall, craft stalls . . . the list is endless . . .

In 2009 we will be celebrating 20years of our Twinning links with Kalisz in Poland and with so many Polish residents now being part of our City this promises to be an exciting time to display both our cultures and industry.  

Riversway Marina is the largest inland dock in Europe and has mooring for up to 75 boats during the festive weekend - but book early to ensure you don't miss out!

over 65 Boats booked in now 25/04/09  There is little chance now of Boats being able to get a passage up or down the Ribble Link in the time scale but we are still allowing boats to and from Tarleton moorings are however becoming restricted.
