                                                        British Dragon Boat Race

Riversway has become a great place to go for all the family and even more so during the weekend of the 25th & 26th July where the docks will be transformed into a festival of colour, music, food and water themed fun. This year will see the Docks come alive once again with lots to see and do. There will be entertainment from a variety of local bands and an acoustic stage programme on the Sunday. There will also be a Medieval encampment and demonstrations, free creative workshops, sculpture making, Preston On Wheels participation, art and craft stalls, informaiton stalls and even a mobile zoo! The festival will host professional jet skiers, (European Freestyle Champion Dan Ashcroft & the Pierats), who will amaze the crowds with their stunts on the marina throughout the day; as well as the National League Dragon Boat races battling it out on the Sunday. Riversway runs through until the evening on Saturday where you can watch a spectacular firework display on the docks and be entertained by live music and then come back on Sunday to enjoy more fun, including the Vista Music stage.
